I went to dinner tonight to celebrate fellow foreign assistant language teacher Gavin’s birthday at a Japanese restaurant. Adam had cream sauce noodles, Gavin the delicious Southern Foreigner chicken dinner set, and Rose and I our respective breaded and fried pork cutlet dinner sets. It was all very tasty, set alongside our red wine in regular juice glasses.
After dinner we decided to head to the convenience store for some ice cream dessert. We ran into one of my colleagues at the nearby junior high school, the cute music teacher lady who strangely left shortly after and came back in with a friend, together perusing the magazines. Whilst the rest of us salivated over the ice cream selection, Adam wandered off in search of chocolate and came back with two Engrish gems: Apple Vinegar Kit Kat bars and a whole bag of Lemon Vinegar Kit Kats. I couldn’t help myself from exploring the former.
For all it sounds like, it actually tasted pretty good. In contrast to the glazed Satsuma sweet potato flavoured Kit Kat from the Valentine’s Day season, this one was decent.
